Side Note: We watched the game live today and found all the Yellow Angels ready to fight for the titles. Even though the stats tell otherwise, Yeon and Paula showed an amazing performance. Seda Tokatlıoğlu was great! She was the only one who saluted the fans when she was substituted by Meryem Boz. Elif Başaran proved to be a very important player. Kamil Söz should definitely consider her more as we may need her game-changing skills in the upcoming matches.

Side Note: The team must have been really tired. They left Qatar on the 20th, and then flew to Ukraine on the 22nd. Somebody sad jetlag? None of the players put a real fight in the first set. In the second set, they got themselves together, but in the 3rd and 4th sets, we almost had a heart attack when they let the opponent team close wide gaps. Mari doesn’t have any injury. She played in the 1st set, but later she was substituted with Yeon. Pequeno had a problem with her ankle, but as she later explained on Twitter, there is nothing wrong with her.

After the first three sets, head coach Kamil Söz utilized those players who had less chance in the friendlies compared to the others. As we have been told, Mari showed a much more better performance in attack and reception. Elif Ağca played in harmony with both Berenika and Eda Erdem. This are really good news! The team is not at its best, but we have a long way in front of us. The Yellow Angels will leave Turkey for Doha on Thursday.

Today, Elif Ağca played as the first setter mostly and showed a brilliant performance. All the players were better than yesterday, but Seda and Meryem had some monster kills, which amazed Fener fans. As @filedefener stated, Mari showed a so-so performance in the first two sets, so she didn’t play in the third set. In the last set, the starting six included Nilay, Meryem, Paula, Elif Başaran, İpek, Duygu, and Nihan (L). On Vakıf’s side, Bahar Toksoy was injured. We hope she recovers as soon as possible.i
